Call me Chris.

Welcome to the blog. Funny thing, the blog disappeared. I think that I accidentally deleted it when I was trying to change how and where it sent the new posts. Oh well. I’d only written two posts and most of that was hot air.

Anyway, I want to thank you for being here to hear the Sunday edition of the World According to Chris. We will treat this as the first blog post and pretend the others didn’t exist. They were a test. Now it’s the real thing. Tonight’s topic will be social media influence.

As of this writing, I have about 1,700 followers across the various social media platforms. I want to say thank you to each person who has “friended” or “followed” me. This is all very new and exciting. The excitement brings with it an uneasiness because I have lived a mostly private life to this point. At the same time, if I want to be in a position where I can share my writing with others, I have to step out of my comfort zone and promote my work. To that end, I am happy with the accomplishment of gaining followers over the last week.

As I think about it, a week ago, I didn’t have any followers. I was planning on setting up social media blasts and the like. To have seen such enthusiasm in a short amount of time is humbling and something I hope can be built on for the future. Within that context, what I hope to see is people reading and reviewing the novel, The Borderlands.

As great as the social media outpouring has been, I want to get my story into the hands of readers. I want it to resonate with you. I want to hear your feedback, good or bad. Please write reviews on Amazon to help spread your thoughts and emotions about the book.

I will blog again on Wednesday and I’ll try not to be so vapid when I do. Thank you for tuning in. As always, this has been the World According to Chris.
